Report from the 9th ISBOR

The "9th International Conference on Breath Odor Research", a joint conference with the “XXIV CONBRAPE (Brazilian Congress of Periodontology)” was held at Bahia Othon Palace Hotel in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, from May 25th- 28th, 2011.

The 8th ISBOR meeting already presented some organizing issues. Now, at the 9th meeting, we were faced with some difficulties, but thanks to Mr. Henrique (Henry) Couto, a good friend of ISBOR, who only a few months prior to the meeting, kindly accepted the request from ISBOR’s president, to support the Organizing Committee. Without his help, we could not have been successful.

The meeting was attended by 150 delegates. The scientific program of the ISBOR symposia dealt with various causes of halitosis
