Report
from the 9th ISBOR
The "9th International Conference on Breath Odor Research", a joint conference with the “XXIV CONBRAPE (Brazilian Congress of Periodontology)” was held at Bahia Othon Palace Hotel in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, from May 25th- 28th, 2011.
The 8th ISBOR meeting already presented some organizing issues. Now, at the 9th meeting, we were faced with some difficulties, but thanks to Mr. Henrique (Henry) Couto, a good friend of ISBOR, who only a few months prior to the meeting, kindly accepted the request from ISBOR’s president, to support the Organizing Committee. Without his help, we could not have been successful.
The meeting was attended by 150 delegates. The scientific program of the ISBOR symposia dealt with various causes of halitosis

Report from the 8th ISBOR:
The 8th
congress of International Society for Breath Odor Research (ISBOR)
was held in Dortmund, Germany at ISAS - Institute for Analytical
Sciences on Bunsen-Kirchhoff-Str. 11. This meeting was the 1st
Joint Conference of the International Association for Breath
Research and the International Society for Breath Odor Research in
the history of breath research. The joint conference was held
during April 26-30, 2009. ISBOR is integral to establish the new
era in dental sciences. ISBOR also provides an excellent
educational environment to present cutting-edge clinics and
sciences to start the novel medical pshycologica, chemical and
oral sciences. The 8th ISBOR covered several aspects of breath and
breath odor analysis ranging from developments in sampling and
analytical methodologies to basic scientific investigations and
pilot cases studies that have already been shown to be potentially
valuable in clinical practice.
The following workshop and
symposium were organized as well as regular scientific papers;
